APU is exceptionally proud to present that we have a tremendous American math program in Vietnam and the world!
This past school year, we brought together many project-based learning activities and game-based learning activities into the math lessons in and out of our classrooms. These activities supported many students in building and strengthening 21st Century skills.
In addition, all of the AP Calculus students who took the Calculus BC test earned the highest score of 5. Having this exceptional score, these students can receive a whole year of college credits in the Calculus series with many colleges and universities in the U.S.A and worldwide. Finally, according to the College Board, our average for Calculus BC is 5.00, whereas in Vietnam, the average score is 4.39, and the global average is 3.62. Apart from AP Courses, APU offers the one of a kind College Bridge Program Programs which gives students an opportunity to experience college coursework and earn college credit before graduating from high school. Since it is an advanced course, GPA earned for CBP courses are treated like AP courses on a 5.0 scale. CBP prepares young adults for the transition to college while saving their families thousands of dollars in tuition, room and board expenses. While experiencing the rigors of college, CBP students get a head start on their college coursework and determine the subjects and disciplines that interest them. Because CBP requires a high level of academic ability, students from other schools who wish to enroll in CBP courses must take an entrance exam and score in the top 10% on the SAT. However, because of APU’s high educational standards, this requirement is waived for our students. This means less paperwork, less time, and fewer expenses for families.
