History
From the beginning: A dream of educating Vietnamese youth
Dr. Binh Thy Nguyen Tran returned to Vietnam in early 1991 with a wish: to provide access to formal education to as many children as she could in her travels. Over the past 20 years, that wish transformed into a dream, and the dream into action to create educational pathways for youths via a top rate education program based on US curricula and international best practices.
Since APU International School was founded in 2004, initially welcoming 20 students to the Lanh Binh Thang campus in Ho Chi Minh City, it has expanded to include a separate elementary school campus, and now has the capacity to accommodate over 900 students. Since its inception, APU has developed a proven track record of success as a solid gateway to US universities. Over 1,200 students have been sent abroad to US universities through APU’s network of support from 1996 to this date.
In addition, 85% of APU’s graduates have made the Dean’s list in their first quarter of university studies abroad. This track record of excellence could have only been achieved by APU’s time tested American-Vietnamese partnerships, relationships, solid communication, and academic agreements with well-regarded US universities.
APU has growth plans for other educational institutions across the length and breadth of Vietnam. We encourage your enquiries and welcome you to come visit.
