Mrs. Olivia Mercado joined APU International School as an arts and digital graphics instructor. It is with much pride and joy that Mrs. Olivia vows to work with her students to bring them up to their maximum creative capacity to enjoy and explore the world of art.
Background
Prior to joining APU, Olivia taught visual arts at an international school in Bolivia, where she initiated the curriculum redesign of the visual arts program. She was also the girls’ soccer coach, and was actively involved in community service activities, such as Habitat for Humanity and Operation Smile. Olivia is fluent in four languages, including English, Portuguese, Spanish and Italian.
Olivia also has secured Ongoing Donations from Canada in favor of the Down Syndrome Foundation in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Olivia has experience working with many age groups, starting from toddlers all the way up to adults. She has served as Assistant on various occasions to Insight Seminars, which are very well-known throughout Latin America.

Interests
Mrs. Olivia loves spending her free time with her family and friends. She enjoys travelling, healthy eating, and is always seeking for some challenging adventure. She practices Yoga rigorously and enjoys meditation. She looks forward to travelling throughout Asia learning about the culture, visiting temples, discovering beaches and making new friends.
