Tri Tran

As Development Director, Tri is responsible for APU’s positioning and market strategy. He joined APU in early 2005 as a high school science instructor.

Background

Tri spent the majority of his career with the APU Educational Development, initiating the company’s balanced scorecard, accreditation plan and technology strategy. He also teaches college credit courses as part of the Accelerated Studies Program that is coordinated through The American University of Vietnam. He has had experience working in analyst positions with various blue chip companies such as Intel, CB Richard Ellis, and Microsoft. While in college, Tri was one of the founding members for a college guidance and SAT coaching startup that served more than 100 families in the Southern California area.

Interests

Tri is a loyal Seattle sports fan, and hopes that the Oklahoma City Thunder will someday come back to Seattle. He is a gadget fanatic and likes to keep up with the latest social media trends.
