Kari Pekin

Ms. Kari Pekin currently serves as a second grade teacher at APU International School.

Background

Prior to joining APU Kari worked with children in many different ways, each unique and rewarding. She worked as a kindergarten assistant, a mentor and tutor to high school students, a teaching intern in Ghana, and most recently as a classroom teacher.  She taught fifth and sixth graders in Portland, Oregon for four years before deciding to move abroad.

Interests

Ms. Pekin enjoys just about all outdoor activities. Her favorites include hiking, camping, swimming, boating, and snowboarding. She also loves to read and explore the world with her family.
