Application Requirements & Policy

APU International School has an open admission policy and welcomes applicants of all nationalities. Applicants should have the intention of continuing their college or university education in the US or another English speaking country, or an international university. Applications are accepted throughout the year from Pre-K to Grade 12.

Students are required to provide a medical report prior to admission. Student transcripts must be available prior to final placement in the program and to determine appropriate credit transferring. Past transcripts will be assessed by the Counselor before the student is allowed to attend classes. We teach students based on what they come to us knowing and not their age or class. This means we look at the student holistically when considering grade placement. The Superintendent has the final decision regarding grade placement.

Students are required to wear school uniforms during school days and school events. A separate PE uniform must be worn during sports events and activities. These uniforms can be purchased through the school shop.

Transcripts

APU International School does not provide official transcripts to current students or their parents. Official transcripts for current students may only be sent directly to other academic institutions; however current students may obtain unofficial transcripts. Former students of the school may request official transcripts. To request an official or unofficial transcript, students must complete a transcript request form, which requires the signature of a parent or guardian if the student is less than 18 years of age. Transcript requests are processed within 15 days of receipt, provided that the student has no outstanding items on his or her account, including APU International School books, equipment, and other property not returned by their due dates.
